In this book, Stewart provides a detailed insight into some of the lesser-known properties of certain numbers as well as looking at numbers which at first looked boring or insignificant. He covers a wide range of topics, from natural numbers to imaginary numbers, describing the history behind them along with some interesting applications of mathematics along the way.

The book explains the mathematics of the Rubik’s Cube, Sudokus and even music. The topic covered span a whole range and split into smaller chapters from 0 to infinity.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone with an interest in maths. Although the content is in some places fairly high level maths, he explains it in such a way as to make it very accessible and understandable to those with less mathematical knowledge.
